Why is it that when they see me wearing a hijab they pull me aside and triple check me while I see other people moving along?

Why is it that when they see me wearing a hijab they pull me aside triple and check me for no reason while I see other people moving along? Why is it that they make me board the plane last? Why is it that when I ask for something to drink or eat you tell me it's not available then I see you give it to someone else?

Have you ever received a response or resolution from either an airline, airport or government official regarding the discrimination you experienced? If so, what was the response or the result?

I have because when I was a new hijabi I didn't have my passport changed and they were about to make me take off my hijab. No matter how much I told them I couldn't take it off they still wanted me to. Then a man in a turban said that I shouldn't have to take it off because you can still make out that it was me and in the end, they gave in and let me go.

Has the discrimination you've faced made it harder for you to travel? If so, in what ways and at what cost?

Yes very often because sometimes you're in a rush to get to your plane and those extra triple-checks make you late. Once we were late to our flight by 5min cause we all got pulled aside to get triple-checked.

What was your reaction to the No-Fly List leak story? how did it make you feel?

I felt that this was very true cause I think it very often and considering my cousin's name is Mohamed and we were traveling together, they pulled him and his bag aside.
